This is a replica of a Civil War Lobster Pot Helmet that comes complete with a stand. The lobster pot helment was called that for the shape of the helmet which resembles a lobsters tail. It became popular in Europe especially for cavalry and officers from 1600. This form of helmet was widely used during the Thirty Years War and the English Civil War.
